Todd & the Book of Pure Evil - Fisting Fantasy
Not to be denied, Todd
& the Book of Pure Evil parodies video games with this episode, Fisting Fantasy. The foursome—Todd,
Jenny, Curtis, and Hannah—must go on a quest to fight “The Red Knight”, trapped
inside a knight game called Fisting Fantasy or else perish. Curtis and Todd are
transformed into their game characters, while Jenny and Hannah have the
misfortune of being burdened with characters made up by the Book of Pure Evil’s
next victim, Kyle (Michael Stefanson). Kyle had been the Red Knight with Curtis
and Todd often purposely causing his death just because they’re assholes while
playing the FF game. Kyle feels rejected and slighted by Todd and Curtis, so
the Book of Pure Evil capitalizes on his emotional state. Crowley High is
turned into a giant castle and the Red Knight informs the foursome they must
capture a sword and vanquish him or else they will die.
Accompanying them is a furry, rhyming character named Mischievio, leading them on the quest, a guide wanting to not only help but protect them. However, much like Kyle, Mischievio is often rejected and dismissed by Todd, and especially, Jenny. Jenny is made up like a Merry Man of Robin Hood’s, given the talent of music with a flute. So she’s not in good spirits. Hannah is feminine in her feline form, complete with tail and pink hair, but she’s been provided, much to her chagrin, a penis! Curtis has boobs and darker skin, made up like some type of Brynhildr. Todd is dressed in Barbarian skins, equipped with a wooden sword. They encounter monsters, Ice Queen, and the Red Knight, losing “lives” (each has three life *hearts* before ultimate death if they fail in the quest) when unprepared for video game peril. Included in their list of dangers is Atticus, in the video game a venomous snake, coiled around the magic sword needed to kill the Red Knight. Video game humor is on display here and, of course, the usual penis jokes (Hannah uses her penis to unfasten a lock that lets in warmth, turning away the Ice Queen!) and some breast humor (Curtis begins to find his breasts rather pleasant!). Atticus obviously steals his big scene as the snake although trying to strike Curtis with his teeth results in losing them due to his gold breastplate! Mischievio turns out to be quite a hoot, and its hostile relationship with Jenny is a highlight.
