Todd & the Book of Pure Evil - Deathday Cake
"Someone left their shoes in the hall." - Hannah
"And their feet in their shoes." - Jenny
"I'd be thrilled if you could help me find a certain magical book that grants me absolute power and destroys me enemies." - Atticus, searching for a new recruit in a popular star athlete in school.
"Sounds pretty cool." - Troy, all for joining.
"You've stolen enough birthdays, you birthday slut!"
And another bizarre, surreal episode among two seasons of bizarre, surreal episodes of Todd & the Book of Pure Evil. This one the BoPE turns into a killer cake that eats students with birthdays while a religious fanatic among three girls, considering the celebration of birthdays sinful, secretly pines for that feeling of joy and the book capitalizes on that. She carries around the cake, seemingly parodying Seymour from Little Shop of Horrors, as it devours students, spitting out their shoes, with the feet and ankles still inside! Meanwhile Todd and Hannah compete for who will be responsible for throwing Curtis a killer birthday. Atticus actually saves the day! This comes when it appears Curtis will be the cake's next meal! Troy, a bright new recruit Atticus eyes to replace the current "geezers" making up his group of Satanists, happens to have a birthday and is in the locker room; wrong place, wrong time. Jenny's taking the shoes of victims and Jimmy's buffing troubles in relation to the messes left behind by the cake are the icing on the cake, with the most strange development being the possessed girl aging drastically everytime the damn thing eats another student! Todd is especially dimbulb and practically intolerable here, with Hannah quite patient dealing with his antics, trying to barter partnership just to give her boyfriend a birthday he'd be happy with. Even Jenny isn't as heroine-y when it comes to stopping the book, distracted by the shoes and birthday rivalry. All out crazy-8's is this episode.
