2014 - Favorite Films

 

It Follows

2010 - 2021 is not a strong period of horror for me. I was going through 2014 and realized there are plenty of horror films I have yet to see. I'm sure that will be the norm. A good memory in 2014, I remember seeing Unfriended with my wife on an evening when the kids were with my mom and stepdad, and we actually noticed that another theater was showing It Follows. Now It Follows wasn't really on my radar. I wasn't anticipating its availability, we took a chance on it, and I was rewarded with an unexpected gem. Yes, perhaps the film is heralded to such a degree some horror fans have since thrown at it that unfortunate word overrated.
