1973 - Favorite Films
And here we are again: Westworld is the film I had to go back and forth on. I just recently watched this again, and I can say that this really knocked me for a loop because I truly believe Yul Brynner's western android is the model for the likes of Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, and The Terminator. The way he walks, stalks, and destroys is so eerily representative of the slasher killers and murderous cybernetic killing machines that came after Westworld. Again, though, I place this more in science fiction than horror. So when I put together that list, this will be way up there.
This is that year where my #1 is way distant from the rest of the list. But this could be the year where I have the most 4/5s ("really like") of any horror list.
