Scream The Series: The Second Season - Jeepers Creepers/Let the Right One In

The series, admittedly, is losing me with each passing episode. But I'm just not the demo for it. My daughter loves the series, but she can't stand not knowing the mysteries and revealed to me that Kieran is Ghostface so I have pretty much quit caring. So auto pilot sucks when watching a series, especially a slasher series. I remember digging Harper's Island, perhaps even reviewing some episodes for the blog--not sure why I stopped but I digress...--and the first season of Scream wasn't too particularly bad, although, again, I'm not the demo for "Scream the Series". I have reviewed the first and third seasons so knocking out the second season felt like completing the cycle.

For these two episodes, some scenes worth mentioning and plot points:

  • Audrey chloroforms Noah, ties him to an old roller coaster seat, receiving the goods about what he has learned about her entrapment by the killer.
  • Seth Branson is left handcuffed to a bed by Brooke who lures him to a hotel under the guise that she wants to have kinky sex with him, with her leaving him there for Ghostface
  • Guidance Counselor Ms. Lang keeps recordings of her students, her desk filled to the brim with little audio tapes, the Ghostface killer not only calling her up while she's in her office but eventually attacking her when she discovers Seth Branson badly wounded on the high school floor
  • Audrey and Brooke are lured to the school, a janitor there, finding Hudson on the floor in a pool of blood when Ghostface tosses her from the stairs, disrupting plans by the killer for Audrey
  • Ghostface cuts clean off Seth's hand, then cauterizes the wound with a hot clothing iron!
  • Emma agrees to go on a picnic with Eli, and the house they illegally enter is set on fire with Seth in the bathtub (a running joke since it seems Seth can't die even after being stabbed again in the school
  • Kieran continually tells Sheriff Acosta details shared between him and Emma
  • Kieran is at the carnival, locating Emma (who was called there), Noah and Audrey (Audrey had Noah there to learn of details he had against her), so this is a hint that he is Ghostface
  • Lots of Zoe and Noah romance, with Audrey often awkwardly inserted into it
  • Audrey and Noah reveal "feelings" for each other, but this isn't romantic.
  • Noah's audio with Audrey revealing details about her inviting Piper to Lakewood is found by Zoe, with Zoe sending it as an attachment to her own email.
  • Stavo is still clearly trying to get into Brooke's pants while she still struggles with Jake's death
Both episodes: 2/5
