iZombie - Abra Cadaver **
It
is a bit weird to see Ravi and Peyton “just friends” during this period as
Peyton is about to embark on a weird detour with the horrible Blaine. Ravi dating a gal who seems to be getting
real serious while he’s insecure about where he is in the relationship is a
subject of conversation that Peyton uses her fruit blender to drown out.
Meanwhile Blaine proposes Liv work with him to find out who is offing zombies
(and, more importantly, his clientele), for which she reluctantly agrees.
Meanwhile, Ravi and current girlfriend, Step, are celebrating “Guy Fawkes Day” with plenty of British decorations in his home, including her in full regalia…she is a bit “into the part” much to his dismay.
Clive and Bozzio are very much in love and romantically involved….Liv learns this while on a stakeout with Blaine. The second season, after watching the fourth and fifth seasons, really is quite a kick. Seeing the building blocks still developing. Like Ravi ending things with Steph (who really is a great gal many guys would consider a catch) before inevitably returning to Peyton.
Peyton’s work on Mr. Boss includes Blaine (which is how they eventually become involved), so a conversation between them where Blaine gives her his card in case she needs him is certain to give anyone revisiting the series or starting it for the first time reason to scream at the screen, “Noooooo! Run as far from him as possible!!!!”
During the episode, Major was adjusting to Liv’s “episodes” with the brains during her investigations with Clive, finding her at the end of “Abra Cadaver” using a Ouija Board and chanting all clad in black. And Clive and Bozzio waiting for test results on the brain found in Suzuki’s freezer was altered by Blaine and Liv to depict bovine instead of human in order to throw them off the “zombie trail”. But a young woman might be their monkey wrench as she leaves behind a packet with Occupant on the cover. More about this woman, Regina, in the next episode.
