Todd & the Book of Pure Evil - Redierment Home
The second season opener has Atticus taking charge where his dead father left off, over a gang of geezers in a retirement home who had followed after him as they were led to believe Satan could offer them great things if the Book of Pure Evil was in his possession. So Atticus' pops is dead and the old folks are left with this new leader they have little to no faith in. Meanwhile, Jenny is kidnapped with her year-long drugged father, who is in a cataleptic state. Todd, equipped with long sword, the sanddragon, and now couple, Hannah and Curtis (Curtis, with robotic arm), accompanying him, the trio set off to find Jenny. The retirement home is the setting for this episode as a member of Atticus' devil worshipping geezer clan gains access to the Book of Pure Evil (locked in chains, the Book is seemingly finally caught, but Atticus and the red-hooded brotherhood head to the lunchroom to break up a fight during lunch) and is granted the gourmet meal he's always wanted, with the old folks gathering about excitedly to partake also in the feast. Todd, Hannah, and Curtis arrive not expecting zombie elderly but this is the Book of Pure Evil we're talking about so those few who didn't eat have this horde wanting to devour them! Who'd think yellow poop water would be the right weapon of choice! As nutty as it sounds. Jenny and her mind dead father soon join Todd, Hannah, and Curtis, with Atticus and his confused minions all once again not having the Book of Pure Evil in their possession. It would continue to fly away throughout the season, showing up conveniently to possess students desiring specific things, with the end result typically their demise. Ludicrous plot in this opener is a sign of things to come. The retirees and their naivete, with Atticus often arguing with them about the Book, provides some funny moments in the ongoing second season. Atticus always gets so close, as does Todd, but others seem to get caught under it's dangerous spell instead.
