iZombie - Pour Some Sugar, Zombie

The case of the iZombie episode, Pour Some Sugar, Zombie, even though it does include Mr. Boss syndicate members and their stripper girlfriends possibly involved in murder of another stripper (the stripper was involved with Nick, the Stick, but Nick was actually sleeping with two different strippers from the same club) never really “rose” my interest, I did like the final scene where Ravi injects a nearly turned zombie Major with a tranquilizer after discovering he’s the infamous “Chaos Killer”. Ravi just couldn’t let Major have the secret of what was in his safe without finding out through the right combination. What Ravi doesn’t realize is that Major didn’t kill the zombies, not allowing him to explain. And how Ravi arrived to this is when he kept pressing about the basset hound Major found and later took away. Because Liv reluctantly ate the brain of a stripper for Peyton in order to get some goods on Mr. Boss, but unfortunately she just gives Clive details on how the victim died. A brief glimpse at a room where Pablo (Mr. Boss guy linked to one of the strippers interrogated who has a hard time speaking because of her hyperventilating sobs and tears) is “stashing’ with another syndicate member. Meanwhile, Liv can’t find Drake, later learning from his mom that he’s actually an undercover seemingly dropped off the face of the earth. Also Blaine has no recollection of being a zombie, any of his past criminality, or his own identity, perhaps because of the serum Ravi provided, untested and dangerous. Don E gets zombie scratched, too, feeling like he has no choice but to step up in the “absence” of his boss’ memory. Oh, and Rita is now a zombie who is injected with tranquilizer by her father’s head thug when she returns to Liv’s house momentarily, carted off when carried over his shoulder. Peyton moves back in with Liv and is featured a lot in this episode much to my pleasure. Michalka is always welcome on my computer screen (Netflixed this bad boy), whether in a power suit as Assistant DA or accompanying Liv in a pair of jeans and casual shirt to the strip club. And lest I forget…to try and drum up some flashback memories, Liv on the stripper brains does a lap dance for Peyton, while Peyton sits very uncomfortably as her best friend’s ass goes up and down in her face! 3.5/5
