Game of Thrones - Walk of Punishment
Off with his hand! Jaime, the great swordsman, provoked the wrong Northerner this time in Locke (Noah Taylor, ever the colorful skuzzy cretin), resulting in the chopping off of his right hand. As Locke says, "Daddy isn't here now". Nope, no help from Daddy Tywin, but he does do something meaningful for a change by convincing Locke not to allow Brienne of Tarth to be raped by telling him that her father has quite the weight in sapphire.

There is this great acting piece with Michelle Fairley (I'm surprised her work wasn't rewarded with an Emmy in the third season) as her Lady Catelyn Stark speaks to her uncle, after reuniting (he had a thirty-year rift with her father, his brother, but was there when he died) about her father while looking out a window in their old castle. Blackfish, Brynden Turlly, and Cat share a warm scene where she appreciates seeing him again after his being frustrated with Edmore Tully (Tobias Menzies) for choosing to take a Mill (which gifted them to relative Lannisters but not much else) instead of engaging Clegane at Harrenhal, losing 208 men in the process.

Tywin sitting at a table, having invited "The Circle" (which includes Varys, Littlefinger, Pycelle, Cersei, and at the end of the table, Tyrion) to sit with him, wanting word on Jaime, decides to further belittle Tyrion by giving him the role of Master of Coin, to handle the finances of the Iron Throne/Kingdom. Cersei has a big grin at her father's dressing him down. After Tyrion, in previous episode, is raked across the coals by Tywin for requesting Casterly Rock, which included reminding him of how he "ripped himself" out of his mother's womb, killing her, and embarrassing him (also bothered that he can't claim Tyrion isn't his son), giving him such a lowly role within the family just elaborates his disregard for him. Robb's Queen sees to the Lannister kids, diffusing their concerns about him "eating the skins of his enemies"...Tywin no longer labors against Robb on the battlefield, as he is now essentially the most powerful man in Westeros.

As Daenerys confronts Ser Jorah and Barriston Selmy (bragging about how her ancestor Rhaegor was a great warrior, the "last dragon", with Daenerys reminding him that he isn't the last dragon...) about challenging her decision to trade her biggest dragon for 8000 slaves (which included his translator, the gorgeous Nathalie Emmanuel, as Missandei) in front of the slave trader at Astapor. I see why Daenerys is so loved by GoT fans...the way she carries herself in the episode, offering the crucified slave (desiring freedom) water, making sure her two advisers remember she isn't to be questioned during negotiation, and her pride in being treated with respect as being a woman doesn't negate her abilities as a leader, as she will prove time and again.

Jaime can cast all his quips and jest to his heart's content, but eventually chains and a prison, Brienne's swordplay and Cat's willingness to free him in order to hopefully get her daughters, won't stop the dangers of Westeros from catching up to him.
Samwell gets to endure Craster's remarks on his hefty size for amusement while Lord Commander Jeor Mormont sits quiet, as talk of his use as "good meat" eventually becomes too harsh to tolerate. And there is this incredible visual sequence where the severed heads of horses once ridden by the Night's Watch officers are left in a dagger shape on the snow as Mance Rayder prepares for eventual combat while Jon Snow is party to their battle plans.

For humor, Pod, the servant who saved Tyrion's life when Stannis and his forces failed to take King's Landing, is "rewarded" by Tyrion with prostitutes at Littlefinger's bordello...the punchline...the girls were so impressed and pleased with Pod, they returned Tyrion's gold to him! With Theon trying to escape through help from a mysterious dungeon sweeper who is also a marksmen with a bow, Cat weeping about never seeing her girls again, and a mishap with Edmure's arrow skills missing Cat's father's corpse boat in a funereal fire ceremony.
