The Vampire Diaries - We All Go a Little Mad Sometimes
Long story, buy the E-Book. - Damon to Jeremy after Jeremy resurrects thanks to the ring after being stabbed in the neck by Elena.
Yep, bring the vampires to this century, for sure.
Elena stabs Jeremy in the throat, believing he's hunter, Conor, at the very beginning. Connor had more to do in this episode than all his others combined!
Elena nearly killing Jeremy when she thought she was stabbing Connor, the vampire hunter she bit and snapped the neck of, haunting her psyche, attempting to convince her to kill herself. Elena needing to free herself of Connor gets help when Jeremy kills a hybrid of Klaus', almost leaping from the bridge where her parents crashed off of and died as the hallucinations were so intense and realistic (and convincing), thoughts of suicide felt like the right end to her existence as a killer.Klaus attempts to kidnap Elena until Connor's hallucination wore off, Tyler and Caroline working to get her out of a windowless room he had for her to stay as a temporary prison. Connor really preys on Elena's vulnerabilities in "We All Go a Little Mad Sometimes", even taking the form of her nemesis, Katherine, and mother. Before Jeremy killed a hybrid who had helped Elena escape Klaus' room for her, Elena's frequent hallucinations didn't stop. Connor is a constant throughout the episode, "We All Go a Little Mad Sometimes". Through these three 4th season episodes, Elena has to outlast Connor and his antagonizing presence to kill herself, deal with her feelings for Damon, keep away from her own brother when his urge to kill due to the hunter's curse became too difficult to resist, embrace her desires for Damon which culminates in lots of hot sex, break up with Stefan because she is "no longer the Elena that went over the bridge prior to Damon biting her", come to terms with her new life as a vampire, and appeal to Damon not to remove the sire...that her feelings for him, prior to the sire, were already there, just intensified after he bit her. So lots and lots of melodrama. 3/5
