The Vampire Diaries - My Brother's Keeper

While Jeremy is dealing with that increasing urge to kill vampires -- including his own sister -- Elena has the whole issue with being sired to Damon, unable to resist her intense feelings for him. And, sure enough, Elena and Damon's passions "collide"...in bed. 

While Klaus eyes a romance with Carolyn, Carolyn, Tyler, and Haley are orchestrating a trick to fool him into believing their love triangle is real: in fact, Carolyn is still with Tyler, but Tyler and Haley need Klaus to believe Tyler and Carolyn are on the outs. When Klaus is not looking, Tyler is in the process of "breaking" his hybrid sires. Without the sires to do his bidding, Klaus would be weaker, but as this series always shows you, Klaus is quite often never weakened for long...he always finds a way to gain advantage of those not as strong as him. 

The Miss Mystic Falls Pageant once again has us in high school. We are four seasons in and still in high school. The show's current alternating stories are all adult melodramas playing out and a big ongoing angle in "My Brother's Keeper" is Caroline's conducting a pageant for Mystic Falls, with April Young, daughter of the pastor responsible for the explosion that killed council members, winning in her red dress, the dress Damon picked when she was in the process of choosing between red and blue with Caroline and Elena. This pageant does allow for Klaus to work his charms on Caroline even as she had continued to lie to him about her and Tyler's "issues". Tyler sees how Caroline responds to Klaus, the emerging jealousy quite obvious. Klaus, if anything, seems totally smitten with Caroline. 3/5
