Macumba sexual: Entre Acte

I guess I look at Obongo as a type of spectre that doesn’t haunt as much as pleasure and arouse Alice. Alice will be out on a terrace, naked on a lawn chair, asleep and vulnerable, with Obongo’s hands crawling up her body looking to drive her wild, even masturbating her during the process. Outside of the fantasy dream is resort proprietor Jess Franco peeping on her from on the other side of a door leading to the terrace. She startles out of her sleep to find him, not Obongo, looking on, immersed in his voyeurism.

tribal statues and the whole cultural milieu Jess exploits effectively

As is typical, Romay naked and sleeping

 They Call Him the Peeper

Well, if you really like ’83 body Lina Romay, then this film gives you your money’s worth. She’s naked A LOT. And even when she’s not naked, she’s scantily clad. Jorts and tiny bikinis are it. She’s actively involved in sex with Wilson (and her entourage, a man and woman who accompany her as slaves to her sexual whims) or intimately making out whenever the film calls for it. And there is Franco’s camera enjoying it all. The film cavorts with Wilson and Romay, delighting in their lusty antics. One scene has Wilson and her slaves tongue-pleasuring Romay as she takes it all joyfully.

One bizarre scene doesn’t even involve Romay. Wilson forms a symbol important to her in the sand right in the middle of the desert, finds a white artifact buried within the circle, gives it a licking, and briefly her slaves dildo her with it! Franco doesn’t spend a lot of time on the scene, getting the point across and moving on. Since Romay isn’t involved, it seems Franco doesn’t feel the desire to hold much attention to the scene.

  1. Enough phallic imagery in this one for ya? Lol. I don't know what to make of most of these Franco sex flicks. Many of them have moments of passing interest / some decent visuals here and there but they drag on so slowly and the scenes are so over-long they more often than not end up boring me. I think many of Franco's die-hard fans wait patiently for those special "Franco moments" and have a high tolerance for tedium in the meantime. Same can probably be said for Rollin's fans. Romay is definitely better in the 70s. That wig she kept wearing throughout the 80s just kills me. Wilson is... interesting. Kind of neat where she got herself in her career: One of the few black sex stars of the decade... and born a man. It's unfortunate she passed away in the 80s as I'm sure she would have some truly fascinating stories to tell.

    1. Haha, the wig! God, so funny. Yeah, these guys are an acquired taste for sure. I'm definitely going for some slashers after this! Haha

Collector's Corner: Star Wars

Just a fun little idea. A few keepsakes of the past.

Red Shoe Diaries - Safe Sex

A rainy night in NYC, Joan Severance,  a fashion designer, is offered a ride in a taxi cab by fellow occupant, Stephen Bauer, who flirts with her, even providing his coat to "keep her warm" since her dress was damp and the night cold. Eventually the cab stops at Bauer's apartment complex, and he convinces Severance to come up to his flat. Eventually Bauer is seducing Severance, unable to resist her innermost desires and ready to just take him up on Tuesday and Thursday hookups, agreeing to nothing serious.  But can these "meetups and fuck" with no relationship talks continue or will real feelings and want for something more develop? When Severance's brother dies and she happens to spend the night, Bauer reiterates his displeasure in breaking the arrangement set up by them both. Zalman King's Red Shoe Diaries was, to me, a rather corny exercise in why so serious? softer-than-softcore Showtime Channel "entertainment". Rarely was I ever actuall

Wrapping up the Syfy Twilight Zone Marathon for New Year's Day 2023

So I did watch "King Nine Will Not Return", "The Man in the Bottle", "Nervous Man in a Four Dollar Room" and "A Thing About Machines" during their live run Saturday, December 30, 2023. It was a rare deviation from watching the list of Syfy episodes as they were shown up until past Midnight after January 1st, 2024. I have fooled around with the idea of holding onto the Syfy episode list shown for the New Year's marathon and finishing it up this next weekend. It would be the first time I had recorded the entire Syfy episode marathon on the DVR (for YouTube TV) and watched a majority of it in order from start to finish if I decided to finish it this next weekend. I do admit that once the marathon is over it is like that excitement and nostalgic energy goes away. A little depression sets in actually. Since I was dealt with COVID during Christmas holidays, recovered and returned to myself, the Twilight Zone marathon was a big boost to my morale. S
