| It doesn't pay to be a mechanic at this dorm! |
The first slasher write-up for the blog in 2016 will be for The Dorm That Dripped Blood (1982), a little early 80s outing that is one of the less recognized of the subgenre. I will try to drop the write-up tomorrow night, but I was amused by this harbinger of doom spray painted on the wall in the bathroom, indicating to us that the mechanic helping with tearing down the dorm of the film is in deep shit. I'm guessing this will be the most notorious kill cut out of edited versions of the film that eager slasher fans wanting to see the film in its truest form will anticipate. While the film doesn't have any particular gore scene too gruesome to rival Savini, its drill kill isn't too shabby. It burrows right into the poor victim's back of the skull and drills out some brain matter and flesh.
