I finished up my review for the found footage film from 2014, but I just wanted to kind of put image to words, doing so here. I always hope that my words can exemplify what I felt was "right" about a film and believe below justifies what I found most effective about As Above, So Below.
The film shows Scarlett's handling of the language of French, and her knowledge of the darker things of Paris and history are well established at all points in this film. But how she is able to get to the very end (which is surprisingly not typical of found footage in that it doesn't end in the bleak ending for all involved in the film), her drive and compulsion to continue and research, is a testament to her never-say-die attitude.
The particular tunnel which leads to the other side of the catacombs has lots of fascinatingly morbid and dark art lining its walls.
George has unresolved torment thanks to the loss of his brother and is persistent in that he doesn't want to go into these tunnels, but circumstances (Paris police) lead to his involvement in this unique expedition. He's not happy that Scarlett got him involved in this, though.
I wanted to include pics of the place and the characters soon to be caught in its grasp.

Of course, the very place that claims hell awaits those who might enter, our cast does just that!
