The Blog That Blows
I wrote this below right before getting on the treadmill and taking a nice shower so it is like a pot boiling over but therapeutic, I think:
I tell you I have movies all over the place. I have more
movies than I could ever watch. It is funny, isn’t it? All the potential gems
that are available and I’m probably missing out. So many movies. So many. There
are blogs and websites, blogs and websites dedicated to horror movies and
television. I wrote some reviews years ago and quit for quite a while. I
noticed that the few reviews during the initial stretch I did write had quite a
bit of viewings. Of all the movies I have written about, fucking Never Back
Down remains atop that Tower of Babel pillar as my most viewed review. What’s
scary is the Barbara Crampton review, with plenty of her gorgeous nakedness on
display, trails Never Back Down by thousands! I have asked myself lately how
much longer I can write a bunch of long winded reviews that might be seen by
three people, one of them myself going over what I might have misspelled. I
love to write, don’t get me wrong, but I have thought about just saying, Fuck
it and throw every kind of crazy ass thought on the blog. Fuck long winded
movie reviews. Just write whatever and toss images and screen caps on here and
call it THE BLOG THAT BLOWS. This schizophrenic blog entry is me just coming to
terms with my frailty as a blog writer. For some time I have accepted that the
blog was dying a miserable death. I’m not brilliant, and I don’t claim to be. I
do love some movies, used to watch them by the bucketloads, but life has pushed
them aside and said that no longer can I devour five or six a day. Sad state of
things is if this blog was a success I might give a damn, but I think I’m
wasting my fucking time. Rant over.
