B is for Badger -- The ABCs of Death 2
B for Badger is a quick “in and out” for ABCs of Death 2. This is one of those
tales within the anthology that will be easily forgotten once you get to about
L in the Alphabet. A diva-ish prima donna documentary host is immediately at
odds with his crew (a sound guy and director) when they supposedly foul up a
shot where the camera is to move from him to a string of power plants he
considers responsible for the demise of wild life in the area.
When a hole in
the ground where badgers once entered and exited (leading to underground
self-made tunnels for them to travel) actually still houses a “monster badger”,
the host will get too close and pay for it. That he is such a foul snob who
likes total control and orders around his minor crew, very much the tyrant, and is
so toxic that he’s even bad taste to the badger that he is “spat out” in two
pieces (lower and upper torsos!) says a lot about what kind of ogre he is.
That’s it in a nutshell. Not much to it. What's even worse is that the camera work is so terrible when it doesn't have to be. The camera operator stinks...how he could even get a job on a small documentary is worth asking. A look at the badger might have (but probably not) have raised this a slight notch past total mediocrity.
