Way back in 2006 I mentioned the rubbish sweeper of Victor [Franken]Stein's poverty clinic house for the sickly vagrants he treats (and uses parts from) being an instigator and initiator of what soon fells everything the scientist accomplishes in Revenge of Frankenstein (1958). This is a part of my old IMDb user comments:
It's interesting that the culprit behind all the tragedy of the film is the man who Baron pays to sweep the floor, but he does more snooping and lounging than his own job. He motivates most of the action, first spying on Baron and Kleve when they move Karl to a certain room in the surgery building of the doctor's practice, showing Baron's "goods supply girl" Miss Conrad where they keep Karl, and even providing the poor who seek Baron's help info on where the parts the doctor uses come from.
Richard Wordsworth is the sweeper, always inquisitive and snooping about. He is quite a catalyst in the ensuing madness. He's not fully to blame, because Frankenstein always experimenting results almost every time in disaster. The cannibalism and returning physical deformities from his previous body (Oscar Quitak) resulting in failure for Frankenstein, Karl (Michael Gwynne) is a product of accumulating factors that plagues each supposed triumph, and each time costing the mad scientist further complications.
