Carradine as Egyptian priest of Arkham given orders by George Zucco in elderly makeup complete with quivering hands and body commissioning him to find Kharis and Princess Ananka so their mummified corpses can be returned to Egypt where they belong.
Kharis just appears despite being burned *alive* in the previous film, in The Mummy's Ghost (1944) he is urged by Carradine's Yousef Bey to help secure Ananka. But as in other body count Universal mummy movies, not before strangling a few victims with his *good hand*.
Zucco sends Yousef Bey on the mission. Those infidels who stole the "treasures of their ancient gods" must be punished with cruel deaths for their misdeeds. Yousef absurdly hears voices in the mind urging him to adhere to his true desire to keep the statuesque, ravishing Ramsey Ames, as Amina, seemingly possessed by Ananka's presence because of her Egyptian ancestry, all to himself.
