Halloween Diary - The Fog 🎃

 I had a thought while watching The Fog (1980) on Tubi TV. So despite the bad history of the coastal town of Antonio Bay, I'd like to find a ripple in time allowing me to briefly visit this place in 1979. The place of Carpenter's film before the leprous crew of the Elizabeth Dane followed the fog onto shore and started their 100 year return reign of terror. I'd like just a day or two while the Dane crew were still a ghost story told around campfires by old fishermen like Mr. Machen. I've never been to California and never will but if I had the choice of where and when I'd say Antonio Bay, 19th of April, 1980.

Admittedly, I'd like a boat ride, walk around the big beach, jeep ride with the California sun kissing my face affectionately and wind caressing my face, all that green and blue. Just long enough to take in the surroundings and leave. Maybe snag a pirate mug souvenir on the way back through the ripple. Welllllll maybe I'd visit the lighthouse first.
