iZombie - Eat a Knievel
Just not my episode. If you get a kick out of the Jackass guys or reckless idiots loving to perform stunts for an audience that eats that shit up, this episode, "Eat a Knievel" is for you. I can't stand that nonsense (Knievel did perform stunts but they were in a car or on a motorbike), so seeing Liv all excited about kicking nuts, stapling faces, spiking coffee with laxatives, among other doofus activities, "high on goofing off and provoking civilians he surprises at home", leaves much to be desired.
This is the episode leading us to where I got to at the start of Season 4 with Fillmore-Graves losing its leader in Vivian Stoll and AK Fortesan (Mike Dopud) to a helicopter explosion and the introduction of Chase Graves (Jason Dohring, of "Veronica Mars") as the very serious, "take no shit", all-business new leader of the company. Also, Blaine begins his return to head villain, surviving a gunshot, returning to a zombie, dropping his adversary father, Angus (Robert Knepper), in a well, removing all of his father's thugs, and offering a position in his zombie-brain business to Don E.
The case involves Robert Ri'chard (I recently watched him on "The Vampire Diaries"), a video stunt prankster who targets people, dies when a furry suit that was supposed to have flame retardant he was wearing catches on fire during a motorbike stunt through a ring of flames. His assistant and co-performer, Rudy (Adrian Petriw), could be a bit pissed when he caught Robert's Finn in bed with his girlfriend (and later wife), later, after she gives birth to a boy that looks just like Finn! The case and resolution is just blah.
Ravi is able to infiltrate an anti-zombie group while Liv must leave before Harley realizes she is a zombie. This is the chance to get a read on what they know and what plans are in order. So you have this buildup of Fillmore-Graves and Harley's conspiracy theorist anti-zombie group coming to a head. So the episode, despite a case that did jack squat for me, had some drama stirring. 2.5/5
