With Stefan being an asshole thanks to fucking Klaus’ handiwork, Rebekah left behind to be Caroline’s adversary (she proclaims she’ll take her popularity, top cheerleader position, and Tyler), Tyler “sired” to follow Klaus due to being turned hybrid by him, Elena and Alaric trying to find ways for her to defend herself or at least have options, Vicki influencing Matt to return her from dead using witch’s magic so she can kill Elena (the doppelganger) and remain mortal, Bonnie using her own magic to alter Vicki’s plans, Vicki nearly burning Elena (and Stefan) alive in a SUV, Ana somehow returning from the dead as Jeremy and her are astonished in the ability to touch each other, Caroline and Tyler at odds over his douchebag behavior, Stefan continuously being a jerk and making Elena infuriated with him, Damon finding himself attracted to Rebekah with an attempt to keep her preoccupied failing, Stefan and Rebekah both in high school senior year just to be in the presence of Elena and Tyler, Katherine trying to get vampire killer Mikail to awaken (and when he does, she is his meal!), and Mason somehow returning from the dead to attack Damon; the show is at its absolute busiest! There are a lot of nuisances ongoing right now with Klaus, Rebekah, Tyler, and now Stefan on the loose. At least it appears Bonnie and Jeremy are on the verge of breaking up! Yay for that. And Elena stabbing smart ass Stefan with the glove of mini stakes was a long time coming. I never tire of seeing pricks bruised a bit. But Rebekah serving bodies to Tyler, doing cartwheels and splits on the football field, mocking Caroline, making herself at home at the Salvatores, and doing her mockery shtick gives Mystic Falls a second antagonist to aggravate the town's heroes. And with Stefan mistreating Elena and not allowing her any space includes yet another antagonist while Klaus is away. So the show has no shortage of assholes.
