Hemlock Grove - The Crucible
Olivia and Norman unable to resist each other, Roman and
Patrick looking for Willoughby’s killer, Christina still seeing visions of the
Willoughby girl and reacting in terror by clawing at her teen boyfriend’s face
after they share a kiss, Olivia still battling an addiction sickness perhaps
from the lack of “eye drug”, Shelley unintentionally scaring kids in the
library, Roman and Patrick given a “rave invite” from Willoughby’s younger
sister when she caught them searching in her room, Patrick meeting up with
Letha behind Roman’s back, Norman discussing with Frank about letting him out
of the hospital, and Roman and Patrick snooping about the old Godfrey Steel Mills
for evidence regarding Willoughby occupy the time of the episode, The Crucible.
Christina is hanging with the bitchy blondes when the store
clerk comes up to her, telling her that she is beautiful and should embrace the
gray streak of hair (after her frightful experience finding the Willoughby
body) she now has instead of be bothered by it. Letha eating this weird dessert
concoction with Patrick, the sheriff’s daughters go all mean girls about the
pregnancy and werewolvery. Christina has to get away from them. With Tyler,
Christina feels quite comfortable. It all seems to be going quite well until
she sees Willoughby’s corpse, talking to her. Out come the claws and Tyler gets
them instead of Willoughby’s hallucinatory spectre.
Olivia faints in the library and Norman is called. Olivia
was seeking a book on gypsies as the kids, gathered about and listening to a
librarian reading a story, are mortified at the appearance of Shelley. One kid
even pees his pants! The adults even react in horror. Norman drives them home,
and Olivia flirts with him (and he flirts back). Shelley is aware of their
obvious sexual tension, not particularly happy about it. Before holding hands
in Olivia’s home, Roman comes down stairs, ruining their moment. But later
Olivia and Norman fuck in his office. A good, hot fuck that both badly desired.
Letha and Patrick seem to just be friendly but it is still
undefined. Or is that unrefined? Roman
finds out and Patrick tries to chill him out about how nothing is going on.
Nothing about the conversation shared indicates any kind of romantic signs.
Just two people becoming comfortable with each other. Roman, though, is
obsessed with Letha. When returning Norman to his office, Roman tells him if he
knew who it was that impregnated Letha he’d have buried him in the nearest body
of water. He tells Letha’s pop that he wouldn’t let anything happen to his
daughter, that he’d protect her. It is borderline unhealthy. Even Patrick has
to remind Roman that Letha is his cousin.
Olivia wanted a police presence keeping out any “urban
dwellers” from the Godfrey Steel Mill. So when Roman and Patrick head over
there after learning that Willoughby had went to a rave there, the police
arrive. Roman doesn’t give up Patrick, instead going to the police station.
Roman knows there is a full moon and leaving Patrick at the mill with no keys
to drive his car out of the area gets even with him for Letha. Patrick finds
rooms in one of the mill buildings covered in dry blood. Previously Patrick and
Roman had found the lower torso of Willoughby. This was where a bloody savage
attack took place. Why this building and these premises?
