Dark Shadows - David Meets 'Josette_

David can't help but return to the Old House, actually meeting Maggie in wedding dress and shawl, believing her to be Josette. He's excited about having her to actually talk to while Maggie is lost in the Barnabas vampire fog he imposes on her. Victoria and Roger soon arrive and Maggie leaves the living room while David's back is turned. He stays mum when asked about the visit, especially when Barnabas arrives after Roger and Victoria. Eventually back home at Collingwood, David tells Victoria, who pressed him for whatever it was he is hiding. Roger, of course, sets Barnabas at ease regarding David not returning to the Old House again. Barnabas instructs Maggie to not talk to others, hoping to convince her that she's Josette. But as the episode concludes Maggie once again seeks out David, perhaps not quite fully under Barnabas' pull. David-centric episode, added into the Barnabas main story as a threat to his plans for Maggie. Sheriff Patterson's search for Maggie, considering Willie a major suspect, is frustrated by a search yielding no successful results. And Barnabas gives Willie an alibis for both Maggie episodes being investigated. Sheriff Patterson visiting Barnabas after he used his vampire power of influence to keep Maggie under his spell, is an interesting conversation because Barnabas has to keep his cool and remain free of suspicion. The sound of the music box grabs Patterson's curiosity but Barnabas thinks quickly of an excuse regarding mechanical errors. Barnabas puts himself in jeopardy the longer he keeps Maggie in the house. Neighbors and investigative minds could tuwart his keeping his Josette close to him. Patterson does also visit Roger and Victoria, admitting to them that he has no leads or clues. 3/5
