IMDb The Message Board's Goodbye

The message boards are being retired and folks once engaged in great conversation on the IMDb had diminished but just the same, from time to time, there were opportunities to meet smart, clever, funny movie lovers from all over the globe. That will end. No longer will horror fans meet each other any longer, and that is a shame. Just the same, I will forever feel gratitude for those movie lovers I encountered on the message boards. There were are a ton of pricks, trolls who did nothing but cause trouble, but the Facebook friends I do have are invaluable to me. IMDb is doing themselves a disservice, but maybe this is just as well.

Maybe, "IMDb Fuck You" was a slight overreaction, haha. It was a stunner for those of us who used the message board regularly. It was a fun tool to use for the everyday but there comes a time when fun tools are no longer available. In a time when fun is few and far between, to lose another place that had its impact in lives is kind of unfortunate.
