My ode to a softcore performer who has become a favorite of mine.
There are actresses in erotica/softcore that become icons or noticeably relevant if just for their looks or energy in the roles they portray within numerous movies they star in over a period of years. They can show up in a slew of them (low budgets and varying in degrees of quality) and become staples. If you take a look at Christine Nguyen's resume on the IMDb, there seems to be no sign of stopping anytime soon. While my favorite performance was in the late night smutfest Sexually Insatiable (2009)--where she stars as a roommate sharing a nice place with two other babes as the three swap guys, with Nguyen purposely seducing one young man (Mark Weiler) just because her friend was in love with him--Nguyen's a mainstay in the sci-fi softcore spoof subgenre made particularly popular on late night cable by Fred Olen Ray and Jim Wynorski. Playful and always-winking, her performances are pure examples of knowing the audience these movies are catered to. Thankfully, Nguyen has been such a reliable mainstay in these films, she hasn't found herself in the uncomfortable position of passing time when unemployed mining the hardcore routes (few are afforded such a luxury). In fact, she remains a working actress with little time to worry about unemployment. Monique Parent, Brandin Lackey, and Nguyen are rare examples of those types of actresses who have resisted the hardcore routes their sisterhood fall prey to. Erika Jordan is another rising star who has resisted that as well.
Anyway, I personally prefer a certain type of actress when watching late night erotica, and Nguyen, with her Vietnamese features, petite frame (seemingly kept unaltered for the most part by the surgeon's knife), tits which fit just right in your hands, an ass that is perfectly curvy, and skin tone that, even when untanned, is desirably non-pallid (just exotic, thin, and flexible), has exactly what I find quite arousing in a performer. Still, she has performed significantly with certain people over and over (Frankie Cullen, especially) that the appeal of her sex scenes has started to kind of diminish. If she wasn't in the scenes, I imagine I'd feel nothing at all.
I think it isn't just her looks anymore. She has done this enough by now to become very comfortable and proficient in how to model herself within the lighthearted, joky material she's given. With guys or girls in these films, she dutifully and efficiently performs her scenes with mostly an enthusiasm and go-for-it energy. I prefer that to what I have seen by many others who seem to go through the motions and just wish to be anywhere else. If that was hardcore, I could totally understand, but Nguyen knowing this all is simulated and performance (not completely real) can rest assured that while having to get naked and "pretend" in certain positions she isn't risking anything. So, to keep active and part of the movie industry scene, takes to her scenes without showing signs she's bored and wanting to be elsewhere. While I have Parent at the top of my "favorites" list, Nguyen is right up there. I'm glad she hasn't decided to kick the industry to the curb in favor of family life with an executive producer.
I even love her feet, and I'm not a feet guy. She just has this body you can envision clutching in your arms and situate in a number of ways that would produce ecstasy. I think that is why her breed of beauty is so employable and quite desirable to the eye and rise in your pants.
