This right here could very well determine if you like the movie or not...

This is the kind of moment in Friday the 13th VI: Jason Lives (1986) that will define the series' fans' decision on if they will enjoy or not this particular sequel. It is eye-rollingly silly and goes against what we had seen in the first four films. The tone is always on the jokey side, and director McLoughlin never allows this film to get too dark. Lots of people die, mind you, but the director allows his specific film to camp it up. It does set his film apart from within the series.
