The X Files - Providence
The gist of it:
- The Toothpick Man is an alien Supersoldier
- Scully doesn't trust the FBI
- Doggett hears voices warning Scully not to trust the cult, led by a former US combat soldier who witnessed supersoldiers on the ground while flat on his back injured
- Despite Lone Gunmen's best efforts, it took the unearthed second alien ship blasting off while baby William cries in the arms of his female captor (McNally Sagal), at the Calgary archeological dig, to stop any possible threat to Scully's baby
- Kersh remains a jerk, Skinner frustratingly continues to back the FBI when Scully refuses to just stay home and wait while they perform a weak-ass search for his whereabouts, and it does appear Follmer is finally growing a conscience when confronting a file with his name on it he wants no part of but Kersh is having none of it
- Leader of the UFO cult (Denis Forest) demands evidence of Mulder's death--preferrably his head!--from Scully in exchange to see her son!
- Supposedly William is some prophesy fulfilled, which could bring an invasion or save the human race depending on whether or not Mulder is alive or dead. Both Comer and the cult leader sort of explain this, but it gets rather convoluted.
- Comer is left in the room with Toothpick SS Alan Dale. He ends up dead. Can no longer talk to Scully and Reyes. Not too tough to determine all of this.
- FBI and the Supersoldiers in cahoots. The X Files government and alien conspiracy arc alive and well until the upcoming cancellation put it on ice.
- Scully and her emotional turmoil involving William has her on a mission and her FBI superiors be damned.
- Reyes prays for Dogget's recovery and he sure enough awakens.
