Cruelty - Black Rose Torture

A maid adores/cherishes her “master” and looks dutifully after his sister. The master, however, is involved with underground revolutionaries who protest and are against the Japanese government. Military police are out to find the maid’s master and will subdue, humiliate, interrogate, torture, sadistically molest/rape both his sister and the maid in order to find him. But the military police are totally sadistic, irredeemably cruel, wholly immoral scumbags with complete disregard for the female species (or anyone they consider not beholden to their ideals/ways) and so during an hour after an initial police brutality towards the sister and her maid, the maid is subjected to future molestation (voluntary through blackmail) and constant fondling. The maid holds her master in such regard she’s willing to be subjected to this because the military officer claims he can help him return from war alive…the master was found thanks to his sister who could no longer withstand the police torture any longer. The master does return from the war: he was released from the hospital, his eyes scarred leaving him blind. The sister is now a mental child after suffering a heinous rape from the military police lead investigator, responsible for forcing her to watch the maid whipped repeatedly by police torturers while caught in a net hanging from the ceiling. All of this and the master killing his sister while in an incestuous embrace, finishing himself off with the gun in the process. All of this leaves the maid very pissed off and ready to exact some well-harbored vengeance on the two men who have taken everything from her. To have made matters only worse, the sister's ancestral home was "confiscated" by the military as a base for their own perusal, meaning that the police station torment was just for starters.

I have read Cruelty-Black Rose Torture is considered a “Roman Porno”; well, if this consists of scenes upon scenes of women reduced to sexual play-purties for vile cretins to mistreat gleefully with relish, then okay I can see what I would be in for if I had any great desire to comb through a list with titles containing similar themes. After a while, close-ups of juicy breasts being handled like cow utters (lots of intense close-ups of nipples) gets damned old unless you want to suckle like an infant in need of milk. I won’t lie, Naomi Tani and Terumi Azuma are gorgeous, but I don’t find female sexual mistreatment erotic or satisfying. I watch these to see those tormented get their just revenge and for those responsible to get what’s coming to them. I think the two tormentors get off a bit too easy. Sometimes in these movies, the villains are put down like injured animals when they should reap from all they sew. That’s not exactly a policy pacifists hold to, but these are the movies and I guess they provide a little justice we secretly yearn for internally if not through a capital punishment scenario…its artifice, allowing a little reflection of fantasy reflected on screen. I don’t at all hold a thrill in watching women degraded, but there’s an obvious market for this. The film features about ten minutes of revenge and a lot of degradation, so Cruelty-Black Rose Torture provides a little for me and a lot for those who really enjoy seeing women caught from behind by bastards or treated to night sexual overpowerments against their will. There’s a scene where the maid is caught from behind and raped in a train; another scene has the maid caught from behind and raped while her blind master was listening intently to a record…lots of this. Tani was the most naked and abused of the film; I have read she was considered quite the star of this type of subject matter in her time. Of course, those that know their Japanese porn will understand the technique of avoiding the female vagina (the use of a lamp-light is such an example as well as how the camera avoids that part of the female anatomy with particular photographic set ups and editing techniques), so this is all about the tits and nipples. There’s even a moment where a cretin uses a woman’s hair to wrap around her nipple for the hell of it just because he could. Those who made these films were undoubtedly talented at what they do, with studios backing them (at first reluctantly, but as the money poured in, they were influenced by the profits to continue), so these kinds of film are better looking than they deserve. Talented directors and crew, along with the right kind of performers, and a film like Cruelty-Black Rose Torture benefits accordingly.  

The "each and every bean" line comes at the end when our maid reminds a soon-to-be-gunshot-victim of what he did to her in the interrogation room regarding picking up a cupful of beans off the floor, telling her that doing so would allow her and the sister to leave the police building of torture.
